The EMG S4 is a high-output passive single-coil pickup designed for Strat-style guitars, featuring a unique rail design with side-by-side coils and ceramic magnets. Unlike many rail pickups, the S4 is not overwound, resulting in a beefier low-end and midrange while maintaining the crisp highs of a traditional single-coil pickup. This design ensures a balanced and dynamic tone, making it ideal for a wide range of musical styles. Fully shielded to minimize hum, the S4 also includes EMG's solderless wiring kit for easy installation and versatile wiring combinations.
